facilities location project:

… a managed undertaking typically set within a designated timeframe and guided by an objective set as (selection criteria)—definition of a project.

Project work encompasses all activities of the facilities location process; e.g., searching for available properties or real estate sites and evaluating what is found in light of selection criteria. Existing properties include available facilities that can be retrofitted and made usable for the project at hand. Sometimes the work is called facilities location.
